She was very friendly and answered all the questions she could. The tour gave us a great overview of the old town and helped us plan the rest of our time there. I would recommend doing this tour early so you can enjoy what you learn on the tour after. Makaela gave us a list of her top recommendations at the end for food, drinks, night life and places to visit. We went to a few and appreciated the advice.

Somehow Mikela managed to make the next 2-3 hours really enjoyable with her charisma and charm! The fact so many of her stories come from personal experience with her and her family really added a new layer to the tour. It was a cold, dull day but Mikela managed to brighten it up. I think everyone else on the tour would agree. We actually passed another tour group while walking and I can safely say everyone was having much more fun on this one!

I travel a lot and usually the free walking tours are disappointing, I wish everyone could be this good. Needless to say, you'll have to do this tour when you come to Bratislava to learn and respect the local history.

  So, I showed up to the meeting point and started my tour thinking I was on the Old Town & Castle Tour. However, about 30 minutes in I realized this... read more was the original Bratislava tour. There was no other tour starting from the meeting point with the same company so I can only assume they aren’t running the castle tour consistently - or because the castle is closed due to coronavirus now. Regardless, I did enjoy the tour I ended up taking.

My tour guide was Pavol and he was great. Good English and very friendly. Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bratislava.
